Mid-week Update: Episode 9

Wow!

I'm down 4 pounds from last Tuesday!!! My scale at home is fairly accurate. It's a Weight Watchers digital scale from Walmart and I weighed just 8 ounces less than the weigh in at the meeting.

Last Tuesday I was 180.4. This morning I am 176.4! *gasp* This is the lowest weight I've been since 2003!

I thought I was 175 after weaning Cate, but my scale turned out to be about eight pounds lower than what was accurate which means I was really around 183. This would explain why all my pants are suddenly longer and looser.

This explains why the straight line on my workout pants is now actually a *straight* line. They used to be a bit snug in the thighs and ass and that made the line curve a bit.

Damn! I'm just ecstatic!

I'm taking a Shimmy Fit class today at the gym. It starts at 10 a.m. Then I'm supposed to go back to the gym at 5:30 to meet with the trainer for my upper body routine but I'm going to bail on that. Billy likes to go after work and I am all for that. I'll let the trainer guy know this morning.

Yesterday I had a lot of fun trying on various size 16 shorts and jeans that had been too tight before I started Weight Watchers back in May. They all fit now. Goodbye, size 18!!! I hope I never have to wear you again. :)

I'm giving away my clothes as I lose weight. I don't want any excuse to ever slip back into those sizes again.

Menu Plan Monday




I'm going to give this another try and attempt to plan a menu for the week.

Monday - Broiled shrimp, big salad and brown rice (mixed berries & cool whip for dessert) (8 points)

Tuesday - Vegetarian tacos (Billy's going to *love* this one) ;) (not sure on the points value - I'm guessing around 6); watermelon

Wednesday - Pizza & salad (8 points); cantaloupe

Thursday - Grilled chicken, baked potato, grilled veggies (8 points); peaches

Friday - Subs & chips (8 points); watermelon

Saturday - Salad with leftover grilled chicken and mandarin oranges (7 points)

Sunday - Pasta salad & some sort of fresh fruit (8 points)

No Weigh In This Week

Since I went to visit a friend over the weekend, I skipped my Weight Watchers meeting thus there are no videos about Weigh Ins.

I'll go to the meeting this coming Saturday, August 9 though and pay my missed meeting fee and be right back on track. I can tell you though that even with the no tracking for four days due to my little vacation, I am down and not up. ;)

You know how you always hear people say "nothing tastes as good as being thin feels"? Well, I'm not exactly thin yet but I can tell you that it is very true. I have a pair of size 18 denim capris from Cato that used to fit me very snugly last summer. So snug on my hips and thighs that I rarely wore them. I packed them and brought them to Indiana with me only to realize that they are big enough to pull down off my hips without unzipping or unbuttoning. I was floored!

All this healthy lifestyle crap and exercise is starting to pay off. I feel really good and I'm so thankful I decided to get on a plan this time and not try to just wing it.

I really want to get a tape measure so I can see how much I've lost since I joined this new gym and quit Curves. I'm wearing a pair of pajama pants right now that used to be too tight on my thighs. I'm so glad I didn't toss all my clothes that got too small because I have a lot of things in my closet that are starting to fit very differently.

This is a really great feeling and I can't wait to see how good I feel when I drop even more. :D
